Eddie Kingston, qui n’a toujours pas obtenu de titres à la AEW ou à Ring of Honor, vient de remporter une ceinture à New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Kingston est le nouveau champion Strong Openweight.
Il a défait Kenta lors de l’événement NJPW Strong Independence Day, tenu au Japon.
En coulisses, Kingston a mentionné avec émotions qu’il a su éviter d’être un criminel grâce à la lutte, dont celle du Japon.
«I was a street kid doing stupid things. I was the kind of guy that somebody could have killed or I could have gone to jail. But I didn’t. It’s because wrestling, Japanese wrestling, supported me. If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
Giulia a par ailleurs détrôné Willow Nightingale pour devenir la championne de New Japan Strong.
