La promotion Paradigm Pro Wrestling, basée au Kentucky, a dû faire des excuses publiques pour un incident impliquant un couteau utilisé par un lutteur intoxiqué.
Vendredi, à Jeffersonville en Indiana, le lutteur Cole Radrick faisait une promo lorsqu’il a été soudainement été interrompu par un autre lutteur, Hy Zaya, sans que ça ait été prévu auparavant.
Zaya a “perdu la carte” et a menacé soudainement Radrick de lui couper le cou avec son couteau, ce qui a bien sûr inquiété la potentielle victime, vu l’état d’esprit de Zaya.
“Last Friday, I had a knife pulled on me and held to my neck in the ring mid-promo in a situation I had no prior knowledge or approval of by a wrestler that was intoxicated and under the influence. I was then told we could work together or “s**t would get rough for me.”
Paradigm Pro Wrestling a fait ses excuses sur Twitter par la suite, affirmant ne pas savoir dans quelle condition était Zaya. Ce lutteur, qui n’avait pas travaillé pour la promotion depuis plus d’un an, n’avait jamais causé de problèmes auparavant.
“We did not know Hy Zaya’s mental state at the time. And as a matter of timing, he went right out to the ring after coming to the building. Although Hy Zaya had not performed for us in over a year, we had worked with Hy Zaya many times in the past, and never had an issue. Unfortunately, the situation was quickly out of control.”
Paradigm Pro Wrestling a ajouté que les services de Zaya en tant que lutteur ne seront plus requis.
