Comme combat principal à Forbidden Door, Jon Moxley et Hiroshi Tanahashi s’affrontaient afin de déterminer le champion intérimaire de la AEW.
Un match rempli de rebondissements, remporté par Moxley qui avait le visage ensanglanté.
Moxle sera donc le champion de la AEW jusqu’à ce que CM Punk soit rétabli de sa blessure à un pied et puisse ainsi défendre sa ceinture.
Après le match, une bagarre a éclaté entre le Jericho Appreciation Society et The Blackpool Combat Club, accompagné d’Ortiz, Santana et Eddie Kingston. Claudio Castagnolo a eu le dernier mot en chassant les “heels”. Un avant-goût du combat “Blood & Guts” qui aura lieu mercredi à Dynamite.
