La WWE, bien que très fière d’avoir de nouveau Bobby Lashley dans ses rangs, a décidé de faire oublier le plus possible sa plus grande réalisation lors de son passage précédent au sein de la compagnie.
Hier à RAW, on a présenté un portrait de Lashley… sans son fameux match contre Umaga à Wrestlemania 23. Lashley, qui était alors associé à Donald Trump, a permis grâce à sa victoire de faire raser la tête de Vince McMahon.
Dave Meltzer a mentionné, sur les ondes de Wrestling Observer Radio, que la WWE craint qu’en rappelant ce moment avec l’actuel président américain, elle pourrait fâcher au moins la moitié de ses fans – qui détestent Trump – , dont plusieurs téléspectateurs d’origine mexicaine.
“They can’t even talk about his first run there because the only thing anyone knows is Trump and they’re banned from talking about Trump because they’re afraid of insulting the half of their audience who hates Trump or more than half of their audience that hates Trump and the Mexican-American audience and all that so they can’t even talk about it. So it’s poor Bobby just, whatever”
