Plans futurs pour le règne de Jinder Mahal / John Cena répond pourquoi il a une réputation de burying les jeunes talents

Toute bonne chose a une fin et c’est toujours le cas dans un règne d’un titre à la WWE. C’est le cas pour Jinder Mahal qui est champion présentement. WWE Leaks nous rapporte que celui qui détrônera Mahal ne serait pas un lutteur actif présentement au sein de la division bleu. Il s’agit de John Cena qui bâterait Jinder lors de son retour au sein de la compagnie. Si cela se produit, Cena deviendra pour la 17e fois champion mondial et dépassera le record détenu par le ”Nature Boy” Ric Flair. La dernière fois que John a gagné un titre, il la détenu pour seulement 14 jours. Cena l’avait perdu durant l’Elimination chamber  au PPV qui a le même nom. Fort probable qu’un court règne se reproduit une fois de plus. Effectivement, Baron Corbin est toujours le favori pour gagner la Money in the Bank et qu’il l’utilisera rapidement. John Cena revient le 4 juillet lors de Smackdown et on verra bien s’il sera dans la course pour le titre mondial.

Toujours sur le cas Cena, celui-ci a accordé une interview avec The Wrap où il est revenu sur l’accusation des fans qu’il ”bury” les jeunes talents de la compagnie.

“This is why I have the reputation of quote-unquote “burying younger talent,” because I will let them do whatever they want with me — and then after they get done, they’re not as motivated. So, it’s not that I sink their ship, it’s that they fail to operate at an elite level. And I’m on to the next person, [to] whom I say, “Hey man, bring your best punch and I’m gonna punch back” — and they don’t take that attitude beyond me.”

Il prend l’exemple de sa récente rivalité contre The Miz et Maryse.

“I take that approach to everyone. The Miz story couldn’t be a better example of that, because when that story started … no one wanted to see that match. No one. I made it a point to have everyone work as hard as they could to change everyone’s mind. And now here you are, months after the fact, saying that was one of the most entertaining things done on television. That just goes to show you that it’s all just about how much you’re willing to invest and how strongly you believe in what you want to do.”
