Matt Cardona, qui incarnait jadis Zack Ryder à la WWE, est ouvert à la possibilité de retourner lutter pour cette compagnie.
En entrevue pour Busted Open Radio, avec Bully Ray et Dave LaGreca afin de promouvoir l’événement The WRLD de Game Changer Wrestling (qui aura lieu le 23 janvier), Cardona a affirmé être ouvert à un retour à la WWE s’il a le droit de continuer à opérer son podcast, qu’il a mis sur pied en compagnie de Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins à la WWE).
“…I’d definitely would listen, but I tell you right now if one of things were you can’t do your podcast, I’ll say thanks but no thanks. That would be a deal-breaker, no way. If there were going to just take away everything that I’ve built with Brian Myers, like something we tried to do in WWE. The Major Wrestling Figures Podcast, they didn’t want it. We pitched it to them. They didn’t want podcasts. They didn’t want anything to do with collectibles. I think they’ve since had a failing podcast network, and they tried something with collectibles, but I’ve had so much fun with this, and this is setting me up for life after wrestling where I would never sacrifice that.”
Après plus de 10 ans à la WWE, Cardona a été libéré de son contrat le 15 avril 2020. Il s’est littéralement réinventé, connaissant du succès notamment à Game Changer Wrestling et Impact Wrestling, en plus d’avoir lutté brièvement à la AEW. Il compare la WWE à un territoire de développement pour ce qu’il est maintenant, ajoutant ne pas être en colère à l’endroit de l’empire McMahon.
“…I’ve said this, and I don’t mean this as an insult. WWE was my developmental. That’s not a shot a WWE, that is that everything that I learned there the good and the bad I’m using it to make me succeed,” said Cardona. He also shares he has no animosity towards the company.
Cardona pourrait-il être le lutteur surprise au Royal Rumble masculin, selon les spéculations en cours? L’idée est lancée.
