Lucha Underground: bande-annonce officielle + quelques détails sur la 4e saison

Les fans de Lucha Underground peuvent se réjouir: la quatrième saison, qui s’amorcera le 13 juin sur El Rey Network, s’annonce fort intéressante.

Si on se fie sur la bande-annonce officielle, l’action ne manquera pas dans le ring et en coulisses.

ESPN présente d’ailleurs un bel aperçu de la nouvelle saison, qui proposera 22 épisodes.

Voici quelques faits saillants.

– Le scripteur en chef et coproducteur exécutif Chris DeJoseph mentionne qu’une nouvelle approche a été adoptée, soit présenter davantage d’histoires dans une période de temps plus courte.

“When we were doing [Seasons] 2 and 3, we finished two and then we went right into three. Here, we’re trying to tell as many stories as possible but in a shorter period of time. It’s obviously a little bit different, but I think sometimes it’s good because we put the pedal to the metal and go for it.”

– Le tournage a été effectué en février, soit un an plus tard que prévu. La saison a été entièrement tournée à l’intérieur d’un mois. DeJoseph avoue que c’était plus stressant et dur physiquement, mais que le résultat en vaudra la peine.

“It was really hard, really stressful. Really hard on everybody,” DeJoseph admitted. “It was a really crazy ride doing it that fast and doing that many [episodes], but we all stuck together, hung in there, and pushed through it. There’s a lot of late nights and a lot of hours worked, but in the end I think the show will prove once again ‘Lucha Underground’ separates itself from anything else that’s out there.”

– Prince Puma (qui a joint la WWE sous son autre identité, Ricochet) et Rey Mysterio ne feront pas partie de cette 4e saison, mais Jack Swagger et Tommy Dreamer font partie de la nouvelle mouture de Lucha Underground.

– Le champion Pentagon Dark sera au centre de cette 4e saison. Il est considéré comme la star de la compagnie par son charisme, en plus d’être très aimé des fans même s’il a une attitude “heel”.

– Comme on l’a déjà mentionné, la nouvelle saison a été tournée dans un ancien entrepôt à glace de Los Angeles, et non au Boyle Heights, le site des trois premières saisons. DeJoseph soutient que ce nouveau “temple” apportera une nouvelle dimension aux histoires.

“[Switching locations] gave us a lot of new things to play with,” DeJoseph said. “It will play out over the storyline — there’s a reason why “The Temple” has been moved to this particular location. It’s a really great set. You’ll see some of the cool sets and the things we were able to do that we weren’t even able to do at our last location.”
