Paul Wight, alias Big Show, vient officiellement de confirmer qu’il prendra sa retraite sous peu et que ce sera dimanche son dernier Wrestlemania en tant que lutteur.
Âgé de 45 ans, le géant de 7 pieds de hauteur a annoncé la nouvelle par le biais d’une entrevue avec Dave Schilling, du Bleacher Report.
“My career is winding down. I didn’t mind being 480, 500 pounds when I was full-time as the Big Show. I liked being the monster that was bigger than everybody around me. As your career evolves, there are other monsters that are coming in—and my time is done.”
The Big Show a fait ses débuts à la WWE en 1999, lors du PPV St. Valentine’s Day Massacre alors qu’il venait en aide à Vince McMahon contre Steve Austin. Il a auparavant fait carrière à la WCW sous le nom de The Giant.
On devrait en savoir davantage sur la date à laquelle on verra Big Show faire ses adieux aux fans de la WWE, du moins en tant que lutteur.
