“He climbed the virtually unclimbable mountain, rose to the top and won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. What has he done since then? Every circus has clowns. When you want the comedic relief, you call in New Day. And they’ll come in and they’ll sing and dance, and they’ll entertain you. They’ll give you that ha-ha. Great. How long was Kofi Kingston WWE Champion? How long did his reign last? And when he stepped in the ring with Brock Lesnar, how long was that match?”
“At the end of the day, I mean, what do you place more value on? Being the WWE Champion, at the absolute top of the mountain, the apex? Or at this point in his career, is he just now, as I said, perfectly content to hanging out with Woods, and dressing up in video game costumes and doing all that nerdy stuff that they like to do?
“It’s all great, it’s fun and games. But for you to go from here, the top of the mountain to just being content with your family and your friends and just hanging out and making people laugh, I think it says a lot about your character. And just that you don’t have what it takes to be the WWE Champion anymore.”
Certaines récentes rumeurs parlent par ailleurs d’un « heel turn » de Xavier Woods, qui pourrait joindre Hurt Business à la place de Kingston, pour ainsi en quelque sorte sonner le glas du clan The New Day… sauf si Big E s’en mêle.
.@The305MVP to @TrueKofi on @WWETheBump – "I just don't think you've got what it takes anymore to be #WWEChampion and that's why you're content hanging out with @AustinCreedWins and playing video games because you don't compete seriously anymore." pic.twitter.com/6EnPH8togA
