JBL dérape sur Twitter sous l’effet de l’alcool… et s’excuse à Cody Rhodes

John Bradshaw Layfield, alias JBL, n’est pas toujours un modèle de subtilité. Lors de son anniversaire (il a maintenant 52 ans), il a bu quelques verres d’alcool… et en a profité pour insulter Cody Rhodes.

JBL s’est vanté sur Twitter de pouvoir vaincre, s’il faisait un retour dans le ring, Cody Rhodes dans le ring… tout comme il l’aurait fait contre son défunt père Dusty Rhodes.

Ok, not wanting a comeback-but I could beat @CodyRhodes any day in any match, just like I could have beaten his daddy. It’s simple math. Now back to my @dallascowboys

Le lendemain matin, JBL a reconnu qu’il était sous l’influence de l’alcool lorsqu’il a rédigé ces messages.

JBL s’est ensuite excusé pour avoir affirmé (dans un Tweet effacé rapidement) qu’il tuerait Cody dans le ring, mentionnant que son choix de mots était déplacé.

“Was having fun with Cody last night and said I’d kill Cody Rhodes, I obviously didn’t mean that literally. It was a very poor choice of words, I go way back with him and his family and I just was talking smack in a pro wrestling sense. I apologize for that poor choice of words.”

Cody a préféré ne pas répondre réellement, sauf avancer que JBL a un peu trop bu…

Matt Jackson, des Young Bucks, a par la suite noté qu’il a été bloqué par JBL sur Twitter.

Et plus tard, JBL s’est excusé sur Twitter de nouveau, soutenant ne pas avoir voulu manquer de respect à l’endroit de Dusty Rhodes.

“I go way back with Dusty, tagged with Murdoch/Dusty’s old partner. I didn’t mean disrespect to Dusty. It’s what happens when elation from a Cowboys win, my birthday, talking smack and booze mix.”

Mentionnons que JBL a par la suite effacé les messages en question. Au moins ça…
