Gargano souhaite un dernier match avec Ciampa

Alors qu’il est maintenant agent libre et laisse planer le mystère sur la suite de sa carrière dans le ring, Johnny Gargano a manifesté son désir d’affronter une dernière fois Tommaso Ciampa.

Gargano et Ciampa ont enflammé NXT avec des rivalités intenses. Leur affrontement à NXT TakeOver New Orleans, en avril 2018, a marqué l’histoire de cette division.

Sur Twitch, dans le premier épisode de Johnny Wrestling Stream, Gargano soutient qu”Ils souhaitent tous les deux terminer leur rivalité car ça n’a pas èté possible auparavant.

“So, we did find out we were doing that until maybe that day obviously, it wasn’t the ending me and Tommaso wanted. We wanted to be able to finish our feud. It was supposed to be TakeOver: Tampa. [Was originally] supposed to be TakeOver: New York and then this was supposed to be TakeOver: Tampa, we wanted to have a huge crowd and all that but that’s not how things work out. Unfortunately. That’s, I guess, the story of our whole feud. It’s just timing and just thing’s not working out. Who knows, maybe we’ll finish it one day somewhere.”

Les deux lutteurs ont été adversaires, la dernière fois, lors d’un « fatal four-way Iron Man match » en septembre 2020. Ils faisaient partie de la même équipe lors de l’événement War Games du 5 décembre.

Gargano prend actuellement une pause du ring, alors que sa conjointe Candice LeRae se prépare à accoucher de leur premier enfant au début de 2022.
