Les plans se dessinent de semaine en semaine pour Survivor Series. Mike Johnson, de PWInsider Elite, soutient que la WWE mettra le paquet pour Team Smackdown Live et Team RAW.
Johnson avait déjà dévoilé, avant que ça soit officialisé à RAW hier, que Kurt Angle sera le capitaine de Team RAW.
Il soutient que Shane McMahon occupera le même poste pour Smackdown Live, rappelant le fameux affrontement entre les deux hommes à King of The Ring 2001.
“So obviously this brings back King Of The Ring 2001, a brutal physical match and the iconic moment of Kurt suplexing Shane McMahon through the plate glass that was set up for the King Of The Ring for the staging.”
Johnson ajoute que Roman Reigns (qui devrait être rétabli à temps), Finn Balor, Braun Strowman et Samoa Joe complèteront Team RAW.
“It should be very cool. Now, as of this evening or I should say as of this afternoon, the plan for the teams are the following. And this is all contingent on Roman Reigns returning and being cleared to return. Team Raw is scheduled to be Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe — Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle teaming up that’s pretty cool if you’re an Impact Wrestling fan. But that is the plan for Team Raw.”
Quant à Team Smackdown Live, McMahon aurait comme coéquipiers Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton et AJ Styles.
Johnson évoque le match classique entre Styles et Angle, à Hard Justice, lors de leur passage à la TNA.
“So now you’ve got the potential of AJ Styles wrestling Kurt Angle and I will tell you now AJ Styles against Kurt Angle, their Hard Justice match which was a last man standing match I honestly think is the second-best match in Impact history behind the infamous AJ/Joe/Chris Daniels three-way from No Surrender.”
