Chris Jericho au Royal Rumble?

Nous vous rapportions hier que la WWE songe à ouvrir de nouveau la « Forbidden Door » pour le Royal Rumble, après avoir invité Mickie James, actuellement championne Knockout à Impact Wrestling.

Or, le nom de Chris Jericho – qui est bien sûr prèsentement à la AEW – circule de plus en plus sur les médias sociaux. Plusieurs fans ont fait le lien avec la récente présence de Jericho à l’émission Broken Skull Sessions animé par Stone Cold Steve Austin, et diffusé sur Peacock et The WWE Network.

Sur son podcast Hall of Fame, Booker T a discuté de cette possibilité. Il doute un peu de la réaction des spectateurs, qui pourraient le huer vu qu’il a décidé de poursuivre sa carrière à la AEW.

Il serait très surpris qu’un lutteur actuel de la AEW travaille à la WWE.

“Let’s think about this for a second – Jericho’s a– may be even booed out of the building, coming into a WWE arena. We don’t know what would happen. We do not know what’s going to happen if something like that was to happen right now. I would not want to test the waters on something like that right now, me personally.”

“I can get past the shot-taking (by AEW), I really can. I’m a believer in, ‘We could use that, in some way, some shape.’ There, again, I’m not going to bet on it or anything, but I would be shocked if I saw AEW talent come over and do something in WWE right now. It just doesn’t seem it’s possible.”

Par contre, la WWE aurait contacté récemment la AEW pour obtenir des images de lutteurs faisant carrière maintenant dans la compagnie dirigée par Tony Khan, afin de réaliser des biographies. Peut-être que la présence de Jericho au Royal Rumble pourrait être possible?
