Bryan Danielson confirme que la WWE a négocié avec New Japan

En mai, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter rapportait que la WWE et New Japan Pro Wrestling étaient en négociations pour un éventuel partage de talents.

Bryan Danielson a confirmé la nouvelle lors d’une entrevue pour le podcast Kliq.

Danielson ne sait pas à quel point les négociations étaient avancées. Mais lorsque la compagnie a tenté de renouveler son entente avec lui, Danielson a rappelé sa volonté de lutter éventuellement au Japon. La WWE a essayé d’en venir à un accord lui permettant de le faire. Mais avec l’excellente collaboration entre la AEW et New Japan lui a laissé croire que ce ne serait pas évident pour la WWE.

“I don’t know how far along the talks went and I don’t know even if I was the start of them, for sure, but one of the things when I was talking to them when WWE was trying to re-sign me was, I said, ‘I want to be able to work in Japan.’ They were trying to come up with an agreement to where I would be able to go and do that. It was definitely something that was talked about. I don’t know where it went or anything, all I know is now it seems like AEW has a really great relationship with New Japan. So, I feel like it couldn’t have gone that well.”

Dave Meltzer avait mentionné en mai que Nick Khan, président de la WWE négociait avec New Japan pour décrocher un partenariat exclusif.
