Big E a exprimé quelques fois publiquement sa déception de ne plus lutter aux côtés de Kofi Kingston et Xavier Woods, de The New Day.
Il a réitéré sa déception lors d’Une entrevue pour TalkSport, soutenant toutefois qu’il fait le mieux qu’il peut dans les circonstances, souhaitant un grand succès pour ses deux complices.
“It’s always disappointing. I will say, I think the last year of being on SmackDown while they were on RAW did help me grow as a wrestler and a performer. There are some benefits, but really I’m just trying to find the silver lining of it all – it still sucks.”
Le champion mondial, transféré à RAW durant l’année, souligne qu’il ne veux pas nuire à la progression de Kingston ou Woods. Big E ne croit pas que ces deux lutteurs soient par exemple uniquement des “cheerleaders” pour lui durant ses matchs.
“But at the same time, I want to make sure I’m not standing in the way of those guys growing or putting us in a situation where they’re just running out there for my matches and being my cheerleaders, I don’t think that would be best for them. So we’re all trying to make the best of it.”
La WWE peut toujours, au besoin, réunir les trois lutteurs de nouveau. Mais dans les plans actuels, Big E demeurera en solo.
