Est-ce que Brock Lesnar, en attaquant Rey Mysterio et son fils Dominick hier à RAW, a préparé le terrain pour une éventuelle rivalité contre Cain Velasquez?
C’est du moins l’hypothèse avancée par Dave Meltzer sur F4WOnline.com.
Meltzer croit (sans bien sûr l’affirmer hors de tout doute) que la WWE – qui est très intéressée à signer le combattant d’arts martiaux mixtes – a “subtilement” lancé l’idée dans la promo de Paul Heyman, alors qu’il réagissait en coulisses aux actes commis plus tôt par Lesnar.
“Okay, so that promo he talked about tough guys and mixed martial arts and fighters… that was a promo for Cain [Velasquez] now, whether that’s gonna end up happening.”
Quant à l’attaque elle-même, il faut se rappeler que Mysterio et son fils sont d’origine mexicaine… tout comme Velasquez, qui pourrait ainsi être le “superhero badass” qui venge le duo.
“The whole segment with Rey and everything, you beat up the Mexican and the Mexican superhero badass comes in, that’s kinda where the idea was behind everything. Cain has not signed either so they have an idea. Obviously it’s Brock and Cain and this stuff was in that direction, but it may end up not happening, but that’s the destination in theory that this is headed toward.”
Rappelons que Velasquez est devenu champion du monde de l’UFC en 2010 en ayant le meilleur sur… Lesnar.
