Selon Wade Keller, de Pro Wrestling Torch, la tempête règne dans les coulisses de la AEW.
Il rapporte, avec l’appui d’autres sources, que le climat est très tendu.
Keller soutient que certains membres de The Elite ne se parlent plus entre eux. Il mentionne que ça prendra un livre sur le sujet afin d’en savoir plus, mais la lune de miel du début serait terminée.
“There’s gonna a book written someday by some of these EVP’s or someone else closely observing and we’re gonna learn about a lot of dysfunction. We’re gonna learn what a very short honeymoon period there was between certain key people in the company, who aren’t even talking to each other anymore.”
Keller ajoute que le torchon brûle entre The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes et Kenny Omega. Seln lui, tout éclatera prochainement pour de bon.
“I think we’re gonna find that out. I know there are people in other wrestling companies saying The Bucks and Cody and Kenny it’s not gonna be long at all before they want to have nothing to do with each other. The honeymoon period is going to be short. It seems like it is. It seems like there’s some disengagement and people going off into their own that is showing up in certain ways.”
Le nouvelliste Jason Powell mentionne que certains lutteurs de renom – au moins un qu’il n’identifie pas – hésitent à signer avec la AEW à cause des rumeurs de dissension au sein de la compagnie.
“There’s a would-be difference maker who could go there that has that opinion that there’s all this in-fighting and this person for that reason is hesitant to go there.”
Brian Last, qui participe au podcast de Jim Cornette, fait également écho à des échanges de courriel sulfureux entre Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega et The Young Bucks.
L’absence de Cody Rhodes des segments de Being the Elite serait expliquée par ces conflits.
Sean Ross Sapp, de Fightful, a également entendu ces rumeurs, sans avoir des détails très précis sur le sujet.
“I’ve heard the rumours. I haven’t heard that from any talents. I haven’t heard that from any executives, but I’ve heard it’s worth me asking about. It is not something that wrestlers are talking about and it’s not been something I’ve asked about a tonne.”
