MVP, qui a lutté à la WWE et à la TNA, a récemment été interviewé au Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast.
Il a affirmé que la TNA n’est pas une réelle compétition à la WWE. Selon lui, certains dirigeants n’ont pas livré la marchandise.
MVP fait remarquer qu’après 13 ans d’existence, la TNA devrait normalement être une solide alternative à la WWE, mais ce n’est pas le cas.
“There is no competition and I don’t want to sound mean or to take the piss out of [TNA], but WWE has no competition,” MVP said. “You can have alternatives to [WWE], but there is no competition. In my opinion, certain people in managerial roles at TNA leave a lot to be desired and that’s the reason TNA is in the situation it’s in right now. They’ve been around for 13 years. At this point, they should be a solid secondary alternative to WWE [and] well in the black, but they’re not.”

Récemment invité au LiveCast de Wade Keller, de PWTorch, Stone Cold Steve Austin, mentionne que bien qu’il se soit amélioré, Roman Reigns devra prouver qu’il mérite d’être réellement le champion de la WWE.
Selon lui, Reigns doit se montrer plus agressif et susciter davantage d’intérêt autour du fait qu’il est le champion.
Austin ajoute que Reigns a une pression très forte sur lui et qu’il est temps pour lui de briller.
“With him being champion, it’s going to remain to be seen how they book this guy. You’re talking about a guy whose work has really improved, but he’s got to be more aggressive and he’s gotta have a sense of urgency. Now, he’s defending that belt, not chasing it, but he’s still pretty green in that regard, especially with respect to holding a championship belt. Man, he’s really got some pressure on him with the fact that now he is the champion. Right now, he is their number one guy.
“All of a sudden when you become that top guy or get that belt, it’s put up or shut up. It’s always good to have a goal, but when all of a sudden you’ve been kind-of prematurely pushed and kind-of rejected and then all of a sudden you’re the guy, now the pressure is on more than ever. All he’s got to do is shine, but the bottom line is he’s got to shine. He’s got to make chicken salad out of chicken scratch.”
Austin soutient par ailleurs que Reigns doit améliorer ses performances dans le ring et se démarquer face à son adversaire.
“At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who you put him with, he’s got to shine and he’s got to do his half of the match. You know, you can book him with anybody, but now you’ve got to put on your big-boy trunks and have a badass match. Wanting to be the top guy is a goal that everyone should have, and wanting to have that championship belt is something everyone wants to aspire to.”
