Matt Hardy souhaite refaire des matchs “cinématiques”

Lors de son dernier passage à Impact Wrestling, Matt Hardy a été au coeur de quelques matchs “cinématiques” avec son personnage Broken.

Ce personnage a été brièvement de retour à ses débuts à la AEW, mais il a été mis de côté car aucun fan n’était admis à cause de la pandémie. Matt Hardy espère toutefois revenir avec son alter ego.

Dans une session questions-réponses pour The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, le vétéran s’est montré ouvert à la renaissance de Broken Matt, aux côtés de son frère Jeff et espérant travailler de nouveau avec le producteur Jeremy Borasch, qui est actuellement à l’emploi de la WWE.

“Broken Matt has a very, a very dear place in my heart. Like, I would love to do a silly-ass Broken Matt series, you know, whatever it may be. I’m sure Jeff would be down for it too. He loves that nonsense as well. I think it could be really fun. Maybe one of these days, we’ll get Jeremy Borash back over and we’ll take JB and we’ll do more Broken Universe type of thing.”

Hardy est fier d’avoir été à l’avant-garde avec les matchs “cinématiques” diffusés par Impact Wrestling, ce qui permettait de sortir de l’ordinaire. Il avoue aimer les personnages étranges du début des années 90 comme, par exemple, The Undertaker et Papa Shango.

“It’s so crazy that we were ahead of this pandemic doing that. The whole reason I wanted to do that was to do something that was unorthodox and out of the ordinary and just something that would give us a different avenue to tell a story. You know, something that would be very strange like the whole Broken Matt Hardy.

“I wanted to be a throwback to like the early 90s, the crazy characters, the Papa Shangos and the Undertaker when he first started.”
