Si on se fie à sa promo livrée hier à Dynamite, Hangman Adam Page se dirige vers un “heel turn”.
Le champion de la AEW a adopté un ton plus agressif, affirmant que les fans n’assisteront pas à un “hommage masturbatoire de Bret Hart” lors de son match contre CM Punk à Double or Nothing.
Page a ajouté qu’aucune poignée de main n’aura lieu et qu’il détruira CM Punk.
“At Double or Nothing, there’s not going to be a handshake. There’s not going to be a masturbatory Bret Hart tribute match. I am going to destroy CM Punk.”
Page a même interpellé un fan qui portait un t-shirt de Punk, affirmant qu’il voudra se faire rembourser pour cet achat après Double or Nothing.
La référence à Bret Hart est liée au fait que Punk aime bien reproduire des séquences de matchs de Hart, notamment dans ses matchs conre Darby Allin, MJF (“Dog Collar Match”) et Wardlow.
Plus récemment, le match entre Punk et Goldust était un hommage à un affrontement entre Goldust et Hart, datant de 1997.
La foule a par ailleurs, durant la promo, scandé fortement “CM Punk”. Quelques huées se sont aussi fait entendre et parions que la AEW jouera sur ces réactions au cours des prochaines semaines.
