Chris Jericho a affirmé, après l’événement Fight for the Fallen présenté hier soir par All Elite Wrestling, à Jacksonville, qu’il a livré sa première promo non scriptée en 20 ans.
Jericho a attaqué Adam “Hangman” Page, alors qu’il était déguisé en membre du clan Dark Order. Plus tard, Jericho se vantait avec fierté d’avoir fait saigner à la tête son rival, tout en proclamant son importance au sein de la AEW et en ajoutant que le fait de perdre que Page révélerait que sa carrière tirera alors bientôt à sa fin.
Y2J a confirmé au producteur Dean Malenko qu’il a livré sa promo en improvisant au fur à et mesure, à partir d’un point central et de quelques directions. Le fait que Page ait saigné a changé son approche et ce fut pour lui libérateur.
“Tonight – I said this to Dean Malenko – is the first time in 20 years that I’ve ever done a promo with no script, no approval of what I’m going to say and really no idea of what I’m going to say. Just knowing I have a point and some directions that I may or may not want to go. When Hangman got busted open, that changed the entire design of the promo. It was very liberating.”
Jericho a ajouté que pour avoir la liberté d’expression, il faut lutter à la AEW.
