Qui aurait pu savoir que l’ancien participant de Tough Enough édition 2004 passerait à l’histoire avec l’un des plus longs règnes en tant que champion intercontinental (IC) ? Peu de gens auraient pu le dire avec certitude il y a tout juste deux ans. En remportant le titre pour la septième fois, The Miz s’est ouvert une porte sur l’histoire. En effet, The Awsome vient de devenir le cinquième champion ayant eu le plus de temps de règne sous la bannière de ce titre prestigieux. En date du 2 septembre, il en était à 441 jours de règne, il ne lui faut que peu de temps pour rattraper Tito Santana (443 jours/ 2 règnes), champion intercontinental dans les années 80. D’ailleurs voici le top 5 des plus longs règnes de champion IC;
5- The Miz : 441 jours / 7 règnes
4- Tito Santan : 443 jours / 2 règnes
3- The Honky Tonk Man : 454 jours / 1 règne
2- Don Muraco : 541 jours / 2 règnes
1- Pedro Morales : 619 jours / 1 règne

Il était assez connu que Sasha Banks fait partie des Superstars qui n’aiment pas être interpellés constamment par ses fans. Disons que cette fois que The Boss a eu des mots assez durs en entrevue sur le wrestling podcast de Sam Roberts ;
“You want me to talk about how much I hate being bothered at an airport or hotels? I grew up a wrestling fan so I knew I wanted to meet my favorite wrestlers but always in the back of my head I never thought in my life I’d be like ‘hey, they’re gonna fly in. Maybe I should wait at the airport for like twelve-hours at the gate Hey — they don’t need any sleep, maybe let me find the hotel they’re staying at and bother them.”
“Like to me, that’s stalking. I don’t tweet out what hotel I’m at. I don’t tweet what airport I’ll be flying out of. I do tweet what arena I’ll be performing at so I do expect fans at the arena and I’m so happy to sign at the arena. That’s fine because I’m telling you where I’m going to be at. If I see you in public, that’s fine. But when I’m in the airport at four in the morning and I see somebody with a carry-on and they open it with a hundred items of everyone and they’re bothering everyone to get an autograph and then I see it on eBay… that’s not okay to me.”
Heureusement pour les fans, plusieurs autres Superstars ne vont pas dans le même sens que Banks. C’est le cas pour The Miz qui avait lui-même passé devant le micro de Sam Robert il y a déjà quelques années;
“Whether it’s an adult asking for my autograph or a kid, whether I’m eating or doing something I don’t want to do, it’s like ‘They want my autograph’. It’s kind of a privilege and an honor… They’re the people that pay my bills.”
Il en est de même pour Bubba Ray Dudley, qui a partagé via son compte Twitter une pensée qui pourrait être une réponse à l’entrevue de Sasha Banks.
