Pas de changement de nom pour le titre féminin de NXT

Il y a quelques semaines, de grosses rumeurs portaient sur le changement de nom du titre féminin de NXT, alors que le terme “Women’s” ne serait plus mentionné.

La WWE a abordé légèrement le sujet lors de Worlds Collide, le soir précédent le Royal Rumble.

Toute cette idée part du fait que Becky Lynch a mentionné, lors d’un épisode de Smackdown, que la division féminine devrait être considérée autrement et au même niveau que les hommes.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque dément ces rumeurs quant au changement du nom du titre féminin de NXT. Il mentionne que c’est tout simplement une propagande sur Internet et que rien n’était coulé dans le béton.

“It was basically about not having to beat it into the ground when you say it, but it just got run with and once… when you have that many people working on a product, and something gets taken the wrong way, everybody in trying to do their job, just spreads it.”

Triple H y va en disant qu’il n’y a jamais vraiment eu de décision officielle.

“There was never an edict, there was never anything. It really was what it was, of just trying not to… if you’re showing a graphic, you don’t have to say, the title belt that says ‘Women’s’, the graphic that says ‘Women’s’, the announcers saying ‘Women’s’, so everybody is… but you get it. There are pictures of women there, you get what it is. You don’t have to beat it into the ground. It was more of, it just got run with and speculated on.”
