Jericho déçu qu’Orton ne joigne pas la AEW

Chris Jericho a confié, en entrevue pour SportsKeeda, qu’il est déçu que Randy Orton n’ait pas décidé de poursuivre sa carrière à la All Elite Wrestling.

Jericho ne s’attendait pas vraiment à voir Orton quitter la WWE, même si “The Viper” s’amusait à évoquer la AEW sur les médias sociaux.

Il mentionne que Vince McMahon a su être convaincant en lui versant un bon montant d’argent pour son nouveau contrat.

“I can’t say anything about it because I don’t know anything about it, no-one’s calling me to tell me about these things. But I know this – nobody is getting out of WWE, especially Randy Orton, because unless he’s very, very committed to saying ‘I don’t care if you pay me 20 gazillion dollars I’m leaving’ that’s not what he’s doing. I mean, obviously Vince is going to pay millions and millions of dollars to not have Randy Orton go.”

Jericho trouve ça correct que certains lutteurs de la WWE se servent de la AEW pour exiger davantage d’argent. Mais il ajoute que ceux qui quitteront l’empire McMahon ne seront pas automatiquement embauchés dans la AEW, contrairement à ce que faisait jadis la TNA.

Le champion de la AEW soutient cependant que si un lutteur Orton devient disponible, la promotion sera ouverte. Il ajoute qu’Orton aurait été davantage mis en valeur à la AEW en un mois qu’à la WWE penadant dix ans.

“But if a Randy Orton became available and said ‘I’m leaving I don’t care what’ then I’m sure we’d be really interested in talking to him and we could do great stuff. I’ll tell you what; he’ll probably be more over with us in a month than he has been in the last ten years with WWE.”
