Alors que la lutte féminine vit une véritable révolution, notamment à la WWE, l’ex-lutteur Disco Inferno affirme ne pas être vraiment en accord.
Maintenant agent de tournée pour Impact Wrestling, Inferno compare la lutte féminine à la WNBA, qui regroupe les meilleures joueuses de basketball au monde mais qui ont moins de talent que les hommes. Il croit que les lutteuses les plus attirantes auront davantage de succès, et non les plus talentueuses. Il apprécie les lutteuses qui ont du sex appeal.
“I am not a big fan of women’s wrestling,” said Inferno via Wrestling Inc. “To me women’s wrestling is kind of like the WNBA. They’re the best female basketball players in the world, but they’re not as good as the guys. I’m not saying that there’s not a lot of talented women’s wrestlers. But the formula has shown in the past that regardless of your in-ring work, the more attractive you are determines how over you are. I am a fan of the women’s wrestlers that can combine good looks with good work. If there’s a girl out there whose work isn’t as good but she’s hotter and has sex appeal, I’m a fan of that.”
Disco Inferno a cependant de bons mots pour Velvet Sky et affirme avoir été un fan du clan The Beautiful People à la TNA, car elles avaient à la fois un bon look. Par contre, il affirme qu’il ne pouvait pas regarder le tournoi Mae Young Classic, soutenant que la lutte est l’affaire des hommes.
“My favorite women’s wrestler of all time was Velvet Sky,” stated Inferno. “I thought the Beautiful People was a great gimmick for two female professional wrestlers. They looked great and had a great entrance and could wrestle. I was a big fan of that. But collectively, I’m not a big fan of women’s wrestling. They had that Mae Young Classic – I can’t watch that. Pro wrestling to me is based around grown men that want to fight each other….That’s just what I’m a fan of.”

Disco Inferno appréciera peut-être les propos de Mandy Rose, qui mise de plus en plus sur la séduction pour son personnage.
Rose a déclaré adorer jouer la blonde sexy et “hot”, ce qui lui ouvre de nouvelles portes. Elle aime bien s’en prendre à Naomi, e qui lui apporte beaucoup de plaisir.
“You know my character, I’m obviously that sexy-hot bombshell that nobody else has. And I feel like it works with me and I feel like we’re very careful and I don’t want to push that envelope [too far]. Obviously, we’ve [the women] come a long way. What we do is entertainment and, you know, I’m really enjoying our story. And I think that it gives me a lot of different opportunities and showcases my character. So, it’s been a lot of fun. I kind of like beating up Naomi. So that’s been a lot of fun, too.”
Elle apprécie par ailleurs les nombreux compliments du commentateur Corey Graves, comme toute femme qui reçoit des éloges de la part des hommes.
“He says a lot of valid, true points that I’m sure a lot of guys are saying when they see me on TV. It’s only normal. I’m not really fazed by it. I think it’s great that he’s always complimented me and talking about how good I look. … He knows what he’s doing, so I’m flattered just like, you know, any other woman would be when a man talks like that about a woman.”
