Damian Priest doit beaucoup à Bad Bunny

En entrevue pour Sporting News Australia, Damian Priest croit que son avenir à la WWE dépendait beaucoup du succès (ou non) de son association avec Bad Bunny à Wrestlemania 37, pour leur match les opposant à The Miz et John Morrison.

Priest mentionne que son rôle était pris au sérieux par la WWE, ce qui lui a donné une bonne dose de confiance. Il ajoute toutefois que certaines personnes lui ont dit qu’il ne devait pas rater son coup avec Bad Bunny, car la suite de sa carrière aurait été difficile.

“Yes it does give me confidence, it goes both ways. I can put in all the work I want, but obviously I also need the company to believe in me and have my back. A lot of people were honest with me and they told me ‘listen, you can’t blow this because if you do, you’re done’. All I said was you’re giving me the opportunity, I’m going to do everything to my abilities to knock this out of the park.”

Priest soutient qu’il a été trs bien accueilli depuis son départ de NXT pour RAW, citant comme exemple The New Day qui lui a donné plusieurs conseils.

“Everybody has been awesome to me, if I have a question or anything. I could go up to say one of the guys in The New Day and they’ll take the time to just sit with me and talk and explain stuff to me, and guide me the right way.”

Priest est sous contrat à la WWE depuis octobre 2018. Il a été transféré en janvier à RAW, après avoir brillé à NXT, avec un règne de champion nord-américain.
