Corey Graves inspiré par le retour de Daniel Bryan dans le ring

Le commentateur Corey Graves, qui a dû abandonner sa carrière à NXT en 2014 à la suite d’une commotion cérébrale, a livré des propos fort intéressants par rapport au récent retour dans le ring de Daniel Bryan.

Graves, qui avait joint le réseau de développement de la WWE en 2011, a dû annoncer officiellement sa retraite en décembre 2014 pour ainsi être recruté comme commentateur. Il a joint officiellement l’équipe de RAW en 2016 et depuis ce temps, Graves travaille à la fois pour RAW et Smackdown Live.

En entrevue avec Justin LaBar de Triblive, Graves avoue que l’annonce du retour de Bryan en tant que lutteur l’a surpris et que ce fut difficile pour lui – même s’il est content pour le leader du “Yes Movement” – car il aimerait également pouvoir revenir dans le ring.

Graves a consulté sa femme et ses amis et soutient que si les possibilités sont là pour reprendre sa carrière de lutteur, il va certainement les considérer.

“That day was tough for me. I didn’t know about it. Nobody gave me a heads up. For Bryan, I was stoked. He’s a friend. He’s incredible in the ring. That’s where he belongs. It caught me off guard. I started asking questions to myself, Should I? What if? I had a few conversations with few people [in WWE] who put it out there. If you want to pursue this maybe we can look into it. So I spent about a week and a half weighing the options. It was, do I become a wrestler again and what happens?”

“Exactly. Again, this is all potential of would this work out, do I end up on the sidelines. I talked to my wife, talked to some friends. I think as much as I don’t believe in fate, this all kind of worked itself out so I think this is where I belong so why step out of it?”
