Bischoff critique des récents propos de CM Punk

Depuis quelque temps, Eric Bischoff déverse son fiel sur la AEW et son président Tony Khan, encore fâché que ce dernier ait émis des commentaires négatifs sur la WCW.

Sur son podcast 83 Weeks, Bischoff s’en prend cette fois-ci à CM Punk.

Punk a déclaré récemment que les fans de la AEW devront attendre 5 ans avant de voir l’impact de son arrivée et d’autres lutteurs (dont Brian Danielson et Adam Cole) au cours des dernières semaines.

Punk avait rajouté qu’à long terme, ces ajouts à la AEW auront plus d’influence que la NWO au sein de la WCW. Il mentionnait que malgré la popularité de la NWO, la WCW a cessé ses opérations 5 ans plus tard.

Bischoff croit que Punk surestime son influence et que les cotes d’écoute actuelles n’ont pas explosé malgré son arrivée.

“This is what lit my fuse, I wasn’t going to comment on any of this until Punk came out and said ‘It’s going to take five years for the effect of this talent to really show up significantly in the ratings,’ are you f***ing kidding me? Does anybody other than an uninformed wrestling fan who loves CM Punk, is anybody going to believe that nonsense? It’s going to take five years? Dude, you’re going to be getting AARP mail, because it happens soon as you start getting close to 50 they start pounding you with this s–t. I let that one go but then to come out a couple weeks later, after in my opinion he should be embarrassed, and for the ratings to take the dive the way they did after his debut, suggests to me that he ain’t as hot as he’s trying to make people think he is. If he was, the numbers would be much bigger.”

Bischoff a également été fâché par le fait que Punk déteste Hulk Hogan, un bon ami à lui.
